About Small Town Xotics…
Shane's love of reptiles started at a very young age in his hometown of Santa Paula, CA. Childhood fascination with native King Snakes and Horned Lizards (The Holy Grail of all the local fauna!) evolved into exotic reptiles. Around the year 2000 he kept over 30 different species of reptiles like Burmese pythons, Boas, iguanas, leopard geckos, bearded dragons, tortoise's, various king snakes just to name a few! In 2019, after a long hiatus from reptiles, he bought a Genetic Stripe Ball Python and dove head first into researching the ins and outs of breeding through podcasts and YouTube and in the blink of an eye Small Town Xotics was born. 2019-2020 was spent building the collection, breeding a little bit and a massive push on social media. focusing towards Instagram, YouTube, and networking with other breeders in person across the USA!
